We are happy to inaugurate a series of technical seminars that focus on the scope of work conducted at the Genomics Core Facility, CeNT, UW. Our first seminar will be presented by Dorota Adamska, who will delve into the principle of operation behind Sequencing by Synthesis technology (Illumina) – a market-leading next-generation sequencing method and a core element of the techniques employed in our laboratory. During the presentation, we will delve into the technical intricacies of how sequencers function and how these intricacies can impact sequencing success with different characteristics of sequencing libraries. Moreover, we will thoroughly explore the limitations and possibilities of this technology’s application. Our primary goal is to facilitate better understanding of the generated data, to provide inspiration and to encourage attendees to try new experimental paths in their research pursuits.
