Laboratorium Technologii Nowych Materiałów Funkcjonalnych

Zainteresowania naukowe zespołu skupiają się na chemii, a w szczególności na projektowaniu, syntezie i badaniach cech fizykochemicznych nowych związków chemicznych – w fazie stałej (‘extended’ tj. 1D, 2D, 3D) lub molekularnych (‘0D’).

Diagramy fazowe dla kombinacji pierwiastków metalicznych i niemetalicznych w różnych stosunkach stechiometrycznych, w zestawieniu z bardzo szerokimi zakresami ciśnień i temperatur dostępnych w dzisiejszych laboratoriach, oferują niewiarygodne bogactwo struktur i ważnych cech fizykochemicznych takich jak własności elektryczne, magnetyczne, termiczne, etc. W ramach CeNT chcielibyśmy kontynuować interdyscyplinarne badania eksperymentalne i teoretyczne na pograniczu chemii nowych materiałów, chemii fizycznej, fizyki ciała stałego i modelowania komputerowego metodami mechaniki kwantowej.
