On June 8–12, 2026, the Centre for New Technologies hosted workshops for students slcted by the Polish Association for Gifted Youth. During the first four days, the students participated in classes in seven of CeNT laboratories:
1. Organic Electronics Laboratory (Przemysław Gaweł)
Topic: Synthesis and characterization of organic electronic materials.
Instructor: Przemysław Gaweł

2. Chemical and Biological Systems Simulation Laboratory (Bartosz Trzaskowski)
Topic: Design and simulation of chemical reactions, catalysts, materials, and candidates for new drugs.

3. Laboratory of Stem Cells, Tissue Development and Regeneration (Krzysztof Kobielak)
Topic: Discovering the potential of stem cells to regenerate skin, hair, and digits.
Instructors: Anna Puławska-Czub, Konrad Łukaszyk, Ajay Jakhar, Ashwini Khaladkar

4. Biomolecular Machines Laboratory (Joanna Trylska)
Topic: Rational design of peptides and evaluation of their antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity.

5. Biomolecular Modelling Laboratory (Piotr Setny)
Topic: Computers in molecular biology: from atomic simulations to artificial intelligence.

6. Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Biological Systems Modelling (Joanna Sułkowska)
Topic: Application of AI tools in structural biology – behind the scenes.

7. Laboratory of Biological Chemistry (Jacek Jemielity)
Topic: Synthesis of modified nucleotides and their use in mRNA modification

Since its establishment, the Center for New Technologies has organized annual workshops for students of the Polish Association for Gifted Youth/ National Children’s Fund and has supported other scientific and popular science initiatives aimed at all age groups.
