Koushik Chatterjee awarded a grant under the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024

Category: Main page, Science news

Dr. Koushik Chatterjee has been awarded a grant within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 to undertake a postdoctoral training at the Centre for New Technologies under the supervision of Dr. Wojciech Skomorowski.

Dr.  Koushik Chatterjee will conduct a project titled “Spectroscopic Profiling of Electronic Resonances in Strongly Correlated Systems via MR-ADC.” The goal of the project is to develop novel theoretical methods for describing quasi-bound states in atoms and molecules, enabling the modeling of spectroscopic properties of such systems with higher and more controllable precision. Quasi-bound electronic states in molecules play an important role in various chemical and biological processes, yet their theoretical description remains a significant challenge in quantum chemistry. Within the project, Dr. Chatterjee will focus on advancing a so-called multi-reference approach for modeling the properties of quasi-bound states.

The total funding awarded for the project implementation amounts to 179,006 EUR.
