The European Commission has announced the selection of six consortia that will develop European quantum chips under the European Chips Act

The Q-PLANET consortium, which will develop quantum chips and operate pilot lines based on atomic technologies, includes the University of Warsaw, and specifically the team of Michal Parniak-Niedojadło, PhD, DSc at the Centre of Quantum Optical Technologies, Centre of New Technologies University of Warsaw. The team from the University of Warsaw will develop a test platform that will evaluate applications of new atomic technologies in atomic sensors, particularly those based on Rydberg atoms. The consortium includes 37 partners (both from academia and industry) from 12 EU member states.
