Justification of the competition results:
Mr. Koushik Chatterjee has significant scientific achievements, documented by eight publications in renowned international journals, in which he is the first author. Dr. Chatterjee has extensive experience in quantum chemical calculations, including the calculation of correlation energies, ionization, and nonadiabatic couplings. Mr. Chatterjee also has significant experience in developing quantum chemical computing programs, including: one of the official developers of the Q-Chem program. During the interview with the committee, the candidate demonstrated excellent understanding of the topics he had dealt with during his scientific career. Dr. Chatterjee has extensive knowledge of electronic structure theory, including resonance states. The candidate showed great motivation to deepen his knowledge and further scientific work at the University of Warsaw. In summary, Mr. Koushik Chatterjee meets all the requirements for a candidate in this competition for the position of visiting researcher and is recommended for employment.
