Justification: The candidate was the only person to enter the competition and sent full documentation. Moreover, she presented extensive knowledge on the subject of the grant and extensive scientific experience, both theoretical (knowledge in the field of molecular biology with particular emphasis on genomics) and practical (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, Chipseq, and genomic targeted experiments).

The committee unanimously recommended Joanna Borkowska, PhD, to be employed as an assistant professor in the OPUS 19 project.
