Justification for the decision of the competition: Based on the evaluation of scientific achievements, distinctions, scientific experience, letters of recommendation and interviews with selected candidates, the Recruitment Committee recommends the employment of Mr. Ajit K. Jha and Mr. Ronit S. Bernard.

P. Ajit K. Jha meets all the required criteria. He has very good scientific achievements in the form of 10 published articles in renowned scientific journals, including, for example, Org. Lett. and Chem. Comm. He is the first author in 8 of these publications. In addition, he is the recipient of several awards and distinctions. He demonstrates mobility, after obtaining his doctoral degree, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at another university. The main topic of the candidate’s research so far, i.e. the development of new methods of chemical synthesis, perfectly corresponds to the scope of work planned in the project. He also has experience in organocatalysis, which is an additional asset. During the interview, the candidate showed good knowledge of issues in the field of organic chemistry. In conclusion, Dr. Ajit K. Jha seems to be an excellent candidate for the position of senior assistant, as a postdoctoral fellow.

P. Ronit S. Bernard meets all the required criteria, including a document confirming the date of his doctoral defense on June 26, 2023. He has appropriate scientific achievements in the form of 5 articles published in reputable scientific journals, in 3 of them he is the first author. He has interdisciplinary experience covering: organic synthesis, electrochemistry, photochemistry and computational chemistry. He gives the impression of an independent person, able to plan, perform and interpret the necessary experiments. He convincingly presented his motivation to work in the project and articulated his expectations. In conclusion, Mr. Ronit S. Bernard is a good candidate for the position of senior assistant, as a postdoctoral fellow.
