Two CeNT PhD students with Bekker NAWA scholarships

Two doctoral students from the Center for New Technologies of the University of Warsaw have been awarded grants under the Bekker NAWA 2025 program.

Izabela Siekierska, a doctoral student at the Biomolecular Machines Laboratory headed by professor Joanna Trylska, will pursue her postdoctoral internship in Prof. David Spring’s research group at the University of Cambridge. She will work on new synthesis pathways for stitched and bicyclic peptides as promising modulators of key protein-protein interactions.

Tymoteusz Basak, a doctoral student at professor Bartosz Trzaskowski’s Chemical and Biological Systems Simulation Laboratory, will go to the University of Würzburg after defending his doctoral thesis, where he will study the photochemical activation of cyclic bromanes using experimental and theoretical methods in Prof. Joanna Wencel-Delord’s group.
