Nine new projects have been awarded funding in the latest NCN OPUS and PRELUDIUM calls and will start in the Centre of New Technologies in 2026.

Joanna Trylska, head of the Biomolecular Machines Laboratory:” Structural engineering of cell-penetrating peptides into biostable antibacterials to combat drug-resistant pathogens”, NCN OPUS.
Fernando Bruno da Silva from the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Biological Systems Modelling of Joanna Sułkowska: “The influence of non-trivial topology on protein degradation by ClpXP in the context of degron design.”, NCN OPUS.
Przemysław Gaweł, head of the Organic Electronics Laboratury: “Toward Organic Protonic Memristors (TOP)”, NCN OPUS, in consortium with Cina Foroutannejad from the Institute of Organic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences.
Daniela Popovic, from the Laboratory of Paleogenetics and Conservation Genetics of Mateusz Baca: “The unresolved and complicated evolutionary history of the cave bear Ursus spelaeus sensu lato in Central Europe”, NCN OPUS, in consortium with Adrian Przemysław Marciszak from the University of Wrocław.
Gabriela Marta Damentka from the Laboratory of Paleogenetics and Conservation Genetics of Mateusz Baca: “Phylogenetic analysis of the Late Pleistocene Pine voles using ancient DNA to clarify taxonomy and reveal reactions to past climate change”, NCN PRELUDIUM.
