FNP START Fellowship for a researcher from the Laboratory of Chemical Biology

The Foundation for Polish Science has announced this year’s list of the 100 most talented young Polish scientists. The recipients of the START program will receive an annual grant of 30,000 PLN. Researchers from the University of Warsaw received the most grants—20 in total. A total of 807 applications were submitted for this year’s competition. The winners were selected through a multi-stage competition in which the quality of their scientific achievements to date was evaluated. At the top of the ranking of institutions with the highest number of beneficiaries is once again the University of Warsaw (20), followed by Jagiellonian University (13) and institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences (13).
On of the awardess is Tomasz Śpiewla, a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Chemical Biology, Centre of New Technologies, one of the co-authors of the groundbreaking work on enhancing mRNA vaccine efficacy published in Nature in 2025.
