Project description:
Long term goal of the project is to develop efficient generator of few photon states of light. Our current research effort covers experimental demonstrations of multimode quantum memories including spin wave interference, quantum imaging and state characterization.
Key responsibilities include:
Successful applicant will be tasked with one or more of:
1. Building, extending and testing optical setups
2. Integrating electronics and optics, testing, redesign
3. Elaborating theoretical models in Mathematica, writing Mathematica or python simulations, running them and analyzing results
4. Extending LabVIEW experiment control and running experiments
5. Extending python data analysis scripts and performing data analysis and graphing
Profile of candidates/requirements:
Applicants are required to demonstrate problem solving capacity in at least one of the fields listed below commensurate with the education level of the candidate:
· quantum optics or atomic physics,
· signal or image processing
· electronics including FPGA
· integrating optics , electronics and mechanics in optical laboratory
