Prof. Konrad Banaszek, head of the Quantum Technologies Laboratory at the Centre of New Technologies, was interviewed by the Polish Press Agency about the future of quantum technologies. He pointed to the ongoing development of this branch of science and the increasing possibilities for commercial applications of solutions based on it. In addition to information processing and communication, quantum technologies can also be used in defense, cyber security, geological research and even space exploration.
Professor Banaszek emphasized that Poland has many world-class teams working on quantum technologies. These scientists represent a great potential, which begs for consolidation within a larger initiative. In the professor’s opinion, appropriate political decisions should be taken as soon as possible, which in the near future will make it possible to gain a significant share of this market
