CeNT UW researchers – laureates of the NCN OPUS 15 and PRELUDIUM 15 competitions:

We are pleased to inform that the following researchers have received funding from the National Science Center as part of the OPUS and PRELUDIUM competitions and will implement their projects at CeNT UW:

OPUS 15

  • Dr. Piotr Mikołaj Setny for „Interaction of influenza virus fusion peptide with lipid membranes” shall receive a total amount of 1 092 200 PLN for the implementation of his research.
  • Dr. hab. Bartosz Trzaskowski for „Catenanes as new tools for stereoselective catalysts” shall receive a total amount of 1 480 700 PLN for his research.
  • Moreover, we would like to congratulate Dr. Mateusz Baca who is the co-author of the project “Phylogeography, genetic diversity and habitats of occuence of moose (Alces alces) in Eurasia in Late Pleistocene and Holocene” which will be implemented in the consortium led by Dr. hab. Magdalena Paulina Niedziałkowska’s from the Mammal Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

PRELUDIUM 15

  • Aleksandra Irena Jarmolińska from dr. hab. J. Sułkowska’s laboratory, received 138 100 PLN for the implementation of the project “Development and application of interacting molecules prediction methods based on sequence coevolution“.
  • Agata Paulina Perlińska from dr. hab. J. Sułkowska’s laboratory, received 125 800 PLN for the implementation of the project “Mechanism of functioning of knotted proteins”.
  • Sylwia Maria Niedziółka from dr. hab. P. Niewiadomski’s laboratory received 210 000 PLN for the implementation of the project “Role of the exocyst complex in transport of cytoplasmic proteins to the primary cilium”.
