Abstract:

Dorota Adamska will talk about the principle of action behind Sequencing by Synthesis technology (Illumina) – a market-leading next-generation sequencing method and a core element of the techniques employed in our Genomics Core Facility, CeNT UW. During the presentation, we will delve into the technical intricacies of how sequencers function and how these intricacies can impact sequencing success with different characteristics of sequencing libraries. Moreover, she will thoroughly explore the limitations and possibilities of different library construction protocols to facilitate better understanding of the generated data, to provide inspiration and to encourage attendees to try new experimental paths in their research pursuits.
