Director of the Centre of New Technologies at the Economic Forum 2025

On the first day of the Economic Forum Karpacz 2025, in the University of Warsaw Zone, a discussion about health and well-being as the foundation of the economy of the future was held. The discussion, moderated by Dr. Jan Kutner, Director of the UW Business Centre, featured scholars from the University of Warsaw: Prof. Jacek Jemielity, PhD, DSc, Director of the Centre of New Technologies, Prof. Paweł Łuków, PhD, DSc, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw, and Prof. Zbigniew Izdebski, PhD, DSc, coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Warsaw.
The evening panel, opened by the Chancellor of the University of Warsaw, Robert Grey, focused on Europe’s opportunities in the global race for technological leadership. Among the panelists was Prof. Piotr Sankowski, PhD, DSc, from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw.
The first day concluded with a ceremonial gala, during which several awards were presented, including:
⭐️ a special distinction for a family business (Szynaka Meble), presented by Chancellor Robert Grey;
⭐ the Person of the Year award for Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski, presented by the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, PhD, DSc;
⭐️ the Forum Cultural Award for Prof. Jerzy Bralczyk. The laudation was delivered by Prof. Jacek Wasilewski from the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies, University of Warsaw.
