Monika Wojciechowska from the Biomolecular Machines Laboratory with habilitation

We are happy and proud to anounce, that on September 24, 2026, Monika Wojciechowska from the Biomolecular Machines Laboratory has been awarded the habiliation degree.

Monika Wojciechowska obtained hr PhD degree in chmistry from the University of Gdańsk in 2014 and in the same yar she joined the Centr of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw. In th meantime she also worked at Polpharma, but came back to CeNT in 2018 and since the she has been a very active membr of our community, developing the experimntal techniques within the Biomolecular Machines Laboratory for the synthesis and analysis of modified peptides, particularly in the context of their antibacterial activity. She has authored and co-authored 27 publications cited over 500 times and was the principal investigator of NCN SONATA and SONATA BIS grants, as well as key personell in a number of other NCN grants. She also served as an assistant supervisor of three PhD students, a supervisor of one MSc thesis and an assistant supervisor of one BSc thesis.
