Karol Łukanowski among the first winners of the “Pearls of Science” program

We are pleased to inform that Karol Łukanowski from the Centre for Quantum Optical Technologies, CeNT UW has been placed on the list of 98 eminent young researchers, who received funding for their research under “Pearls of Science” program. The awarded project is titled “Quantum strategies in communication through noisy optical channels”. 

The Ministry of Education and Science announced the “Pearls of Science” program at the end of 2021. Its purpose is to support eminent talented graduates of first-cycle studies or students after completing the third or fourth year of uniform master’s studies. The “Pearls of Science” program is the successor to the “Diamond Grant”, in which money was awarded from 2012 to 2019.

The “Quantum Optical Technologies”  project is implemented as part of the International Research Agendas programme of the Foundation for Polish Science, co-financed from EU resources, obtained from the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Programme.
