Ivitation for a webinar “Energy carriers and approaches towards a closed carbon-cycle”

On 8 December at 15:00 SUNERGY initiative (https://www.sunergy-initiative.eu/) will organize its first Industrial Webinar:  Energy carriers and approaches towards a closed carbon-cycle. SUNERGY Industry Board members Maximilian Fleischer (Siemens Energy), Anastasios Perimenis (CO2 Value Europe) and Jan Mertens (Engie) will talk about energy carriers, including carbon-based ones, and give an overview about the technologies needed, energy transport and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) strategies.

Their talks will provide a general overview of the challenges European companies are facing towards climate-neutrality and how SUNERGY initiative could help contributing with different approaches.

SUNERGY initiative is the consortium of over 300 academic and industrial stakeholders from top academic and industrial organizations in Europe. Its overarching goal is to establish a circular economy driven by renewable energy conversion into chemicals (green fuels, platform chemicals and high value products). Two scientists of CeNT UW, Prof. Joanna Kargul (Head of the Solar Fuels Laboratory), and  Dr hab. Renata Solarska (Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Research for Solar Energy Innovations) play an active role in the SUNERGY initiative right from its onset. Prof. Joanna Kargul is a member of the SUNERGY Scientific Board. She is currently in charge of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda as well as communication strategy of SUNERGY.
